Parent Involvement

The Committee:

The committee plays a vital part in the running of Woodlands and provides support for the staff. Without the committee the pre-school would cease to exist. The commitee is made up of mainly parent volunteers. The Committee is elected annually at the AGM and we welcome parents and grandparents to join. The Committee meets regularly throughout the year and is a great way to meet new parents and is your chance to have an input into the pre-school.

Parent Rota:

This give parents the opportunity to take an active part in the pre-school and gives you a good insight into how the pre-school runs. Our parent rota is voluntary and we are always pleased to welcome the extra pair of hands. Its great fun being in the sessions and if you have any ideas for activities you are welcome to come and share. 

Key Carer:

Your child with be allocated their own key carer  who will support your child in their learning environment and are available at the start and end of sessions for any discussion regarding your child. You will be invited to come into the session to review their progress within the Early Years Foundation Stage.

Fund Raising:

We run regular fund raising events throughout the year to raise money for things required to enrich your child's time at pre-school. We tend to run a Spring and Summer fair, Easter egg hunt and other smaller fund raisiers thoughout the year. We often ask parents to help out at these events and so if you are keen please let us know as helpers are always welcome.
